EXODUS - THE FLIGHT OF THE ROHINGYA
Since the 25th August 2017, a merciless campaign of ethnic cleansing in Myanmar's Rakhine state has driven over half a million Rohingya people to seek safety in neighbouring Bangladesh. Crossing the Naf river with their children and a few household possessions, the Rohingya ended up in a series of squalid refugee camps, living in grim conditions that exacerbated the spread of the disease and the rise of malnutriton. The Rohingya also brought stories of extreme suffering from across the border, stories of rape, murder, torture and the burning of entire villages. Now they wait in limbo, unable to go back to Myanmar and unsure of what their future holds.
