Jurassic Coast

The remains of an ammonite, 200 million years old, lie among the boulders of the Jurassic Coast in the south of England. The area has some of the richest fossil deposits in the world, and every day new specimens are eroded out of the cliffs by storms or tides. During the jurassic era, this whole area lay beneath a shallow, tropical sea that teemed with life.
